RINA is currently recruiting for a Naval Engineer - European Project to join its office in Genoa or Trieste within the Marine Excellence Centre Division.

As a Marine Engineer at RINA , you will play a vital role in advancing the field of marine technology through research and development initiatives. You will be responsible for investigating, designing, and developing innovative solutions to improve the safety, efficiency, and environmental sustainability of marine vessels and related systems. This role will involve collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders, as well as the application of classification standards and regulations.

Key Accountabilities
1. Research and Development:
- Conduct research on emerging marine technologies, materials, and engineering practices.
- Develop and test innovative concepts to enhance marine vessel performance and safety.
2. Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including naval architects, electrical engineers, and other experts, to conceptualize, design, and implement research projects.
3. Compliance:
- Ensure that all research and development projects adhere to classification society standards and international maritime regulations.
4. Testing and Evaluation:
- Design and execute tests, trials, risk assessments and simulations to assess the performance and feasibility of new marine technologies and systems.
5. Technical Documentation:
- Prepare detailed reports, technical documentation, and presentations to communicate research findings and project progress to internal and external stakeholders.
6. Project Management:
- Communcate to project management the progress of the rearch projects, including forecasting, scheduling, and resource allocation, to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
7. Research and Innovation:
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in marine engineering and technology and identify opportunities for innovation within the marine industry.
8. Quality Assurance:
- Implement quality control measures and ensure that all research projects meet the highest standards of safety and performance
