OceanWings is looking for a Composite Design Engineer in the Paris offices. As part of the composite design team and in collaboration with OceanWings’ design office, you will design The composite structures and parts that make up the new OceanWings® products. With an engineering school background, you are passionate about technological challenges and possess a strong knowledge of composite structures.

Main Missions
In collaboration with the design office, your missions will include:
• Define, specify and justify technical choices
• Design and dimension composite structures and parts
• Generate 3D CAD and 2D drawings
• Ensure manufacturing and assembly feasibility
• Monitor suppliers and manufacturers.
• Participate in building of OceanWings® feedback and best practice database
• Make suggestions for optimizing OceanWings® products
• Participate in the development of design office tools

Profile & Required Skills
• You are in the final year of engineering school.
• You have a professional experience in industry (at least one previous internship), preferably in a field where you have designed structural composite parts for a number of projects in the offshore, shipbuilding or renewable energy.
• You have a good knowledge of the full industrial development cycle (concept design, design, manufacturing, testing, installation, maintenance).
• You have an interest in composite structural engineering and manufacturing.
• You are proficient with 3D CAD and drawing tools. Composite specific drawings is a plus.
• You have a good knowledge of the standards governing the design, manufacturing processes and tests of composite parts applied in the marine, wind and crane industries. Experience of working with class society companies will be valued.
• You have a good understanding of the finite element analysis studies and are able to work with/as part of the FEA team.
• You have the ability to analyse and summarise
• Rigor, organisation and autonomy.
• Curiosity and team spirit.
• English: fluency is essential to take part in internal meetings and communications. French is a plus.
• Knowledge of sailing is a plus
